Oslo Hotels
As one of the important state capitals in the Nordic region, Oslo is dotted with hotels in different budget range. One of the most centrally located hotels is the Cochs Pensjonat. It is right next to the Royal Palace and Slottsparken. Another hotel is the Thon Hotel Much. The hotel has easy accessibility and it is within walking distance to public transportation, airport shuttle and a variety of shops and restaurants.
If we check out some of the mid range hotels, the first that comes to my mind is the Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel. It is Norway’s largest hotel and the highest in Northern Europe. The hotel has 37 floors and it gives a clear view of Oslo and Oslo Fjord. If you prefer to stay away from the city center, then your option could be the Radisson SAS Nyladen. It is a new hotel at a distance of 15 minutes from the city.
Another mid range hotel where you can get good value for money is the Carlton hotel. It is located at Aker Brygge and has 50 rooms. The restaurant at the hotel serves good Japanese food.
If you want to stay in style, Oslo has choices in that range also. You should definitely stay in the Grand Hotel Oslo because this is where Nobel prize winners stay during their visit to the city to collect the prizes. Apart from the Grand, the Hotel Continental Oslo also gives ample options to the high budget traveler. So, the next time you are on a trip to the city you have your choices.
